Private Tutoring & Test-Prep

Private Tutoring & Test-Prep

Our one-to-one approach extends to private tutoring services outside of your child’s regular educational schedule. We offer flexible scheduling both in-center and with a live teacher online in our virtual classrooms.

Our tutors work to build rapport and instill confidence in students, focusing on their individual needs in all content areas. In addition to tutoring, many of our students may benefit from academic coaching when it comes to study skills, test-taking skills, organization and more.

Within our approach, we realize that some lessons are more impactful when delivered through engaged discussions with peer-to-peer interaction. Therefore, professional judgment will be made to determine when small group instruction will be appropriate.

Promote student engagement and graduation success

Difficulty with academic content can lead to decreased confidence and disengagement from coursework. EYC teachers work with students to identify and overcome skill gaps and regain the confidence needed to progress in the subject area. When students confidently complete coursework, they are likely to maintain engagement and stay on the path toward graduation.

Reading & Writing

Does your student need to improve their reading and writing skills? Our teachers are trained to help all types of learners including gifted students, students on the autism spectrum, and students with learning challenges like dyslexia or ADHD. They can help your student become better readers and writers.

Math courses present a challenge for many students. EYC can assist students with remediation, maintain current levels of progress, or proceed to advanced levels.

We offer professional test-prep services for all types of standardized tests; college, high school and military admissions exams and professional certifications.

Examples include the ASVAB, Hi- Set (GED), SAT, SAT II, ACT, ISEE, SSAT/ERB, ITBS, GRE, GMAT, CLEP TESTS PRAXIS and more.

Our individualized approach helps to build the skills, confidence and motivation students need to achieve success in their post- graduation plans. We start by assessing student’s strengths and weaknesses and then design a specific plan to teach skills, strategies, and content, while monitoring progress and communicating with parents throughout the duration of the program.
